Reddit in your macOS menu bar
The Reddit source for Glanceway turns any list of subreddits into a menu bar feed. Pick your subs, pick a sort (hot, new, top), and Glanceway streams the latest posts — titles, subreddits, scores, comment counts — into a dropdown you can skim in seconds.
Multi-subreddit, multi-sort
The Reddit source takes a comma-separated list of subreddits and a sort order. That means you can watch /r/programming, /r/selfhosted, and /r/MacOS in parallel, all merged into one time-sorted list. Swap the sort to 'top' when you want the week's best, or 'new' when you want realtime.
Items link back to the Reddit discussion page so you can open the threads you actually care about without loading the whole subreddit.
Why not just open Reddit?
Opening reddit.com is a time sink. The home feed, the "popular" tab, the "for you" recommendations — you came to read one post and thirty minutes later you're arguing about keyboards. A menu bar list forces a different shape: glance, open one, leave.
Because Glanceway is your feed reader for everything, Reddit sits next to Hacker News, your RSS subs, and whatever else you watch. One dropdown, one reading habit.
Pair with RSS for private subs and filtered views
Reddit exposes RSS for individual subreddits and even for specific search/filter URLs. If you want a custom view the built-in source doesn't cover, append .rss to any subreddit URL, paste it into Glanceway's RSS config, and you've got it.
